strawbale structures
Building a home using strawbale is an excellent way to conserve energy and
use sustainable resources. And the thick walls make for natural wall textures
and beautiful window seats. The natural insulating properties of strawbale
makes for efficient energy usage, holding in heat when it's cold outside,
and keeping it cool inside when it's hot outside.
Current building laws dictate that today's strawbale homes are
built of post and beam with strawbale infill. The surfacing of
strawbale walls are usually plaster or stucco and create wonderfully
organic textures and surfaces.
